Definition:
While the concept of “interdisciplinarity” is often thrown around as a buzzword, early career researchers should have a deeper understanding of its various definitions, “typically characterized by the crossing of ‘traditional boundaries’ between academic disciplines or schools of thought to address new and emerging issues (Warwick International Higher Education Academy, 2019).”
