Application to the NTK Knowledge Transfer Academy
Venture Collaborator
The NTK Knowledge Transfer Academy is intended for students, graduates and early-career professionals who want to contribute to bringing research results into practice and developing technology-based projects.
As a Venture Collaborator, you do not apply with your own project. During the introductory part of the Academy, you will learn about the fundamentals of technology transfer, the participating research projects and the needs of individual teams.
Based on mutual interest, you may subsequently join a selected project and provide support in areas such as:
- market analysis;
- customer discovery and validation;
- business development;
- product strategy;
- business and financial modelling;
- marketing and communications;
- project management;
- fundraising;
- preparation of project presentations and pitches.
Matching with a specific project is not automatic. It will depend on the needs of the research teams, your competencies and interests, and the mutual fit between you and the project team.
The programme is delivered in English, takes place in person and requires active work between the individual modules.
Information for Applicants
Selected applicants may be invited to a short online interview.
Admission to the programme does not automatically guarantee placement with a specific project. Venture Collaborators will be matched with research teams after the introductory part of the Academy based on:
- the needs of the individual projects;
- the competencies and interests of the participants;
- personal and professional fit;
- the mutual agreement of the research team and the Venture Collaborator.
If a suitable project match cannot be identified during the programme, NTK will discuss other possible forms of participation with the participant individually.
1) Please provide at least one of the following: a LinkedIn profile, a CV or a professional portfolio. Short answer or file upload – required.
2) We are interested in why you would like to work with research and technology-based projects and what you expect from the programme. You may mention areas such as customer discovery, market analysis, business modelling, financial planning or collaboration with a research team.
3) This may include professional experience, an internship, a university project, your own initiative, entrepreneurship or a volunteering activity.
4) For example: market research, databases, Excel, financial modelling, Lean Canvas, CRM systems, project management tools, data analysis, or graphic and presentation tools.
5) Your preferences will be used primarily to support the matching process and do not guarantee placement with a particular project.
