One Foot in the Absolute, Second Foot on the Edge (26 minutes)
Scientist's responsibility, ethical boundaries of the scientific research: Can discoveries in the field of natural or technical sciences be subject to ethical criteria? Focusing on the example of high-end military research at Faculty of Electrical Engineering of the Czech Technical University in Prague, the film explores possibilities of cooperation between academic and military sphere - the field, which is usually not seen as a factor supporting the development of our society.
One Foot in the Absolute: Beings and Appartus (26 minutes)
What is the difference between the perception of a machine and a human? The film follows human and machine perception of the natural and virtual world, as they are researched at CTU Institute of lntermedia, which serves as a platform intersecting technical fields and the arts. The audience will have a chance to peek into an interactive laboratory CAVE, which focuses on virtual reality research. The music for the film was "composed" by a computer.
4:30 PM
One Foot in the Absolute: Blackout (26 minutes)
Are we ready for the blackout? Our civilisation is almost entirely dependent on the electricity, without it, everything crumbles into chaos in few days. Can we cure this addiction by inventing technology that would prevent the possible breakdown of social structures or does the mental set of the whole society have to change following the technical development?
Offline is the New Luxury (46 minutes)
To be online all the time and everywhere. It sounds great, but it has its drawbacks. As digital networks are closing in, there are fewer places to be really on your own. Being offline is becoming a luxury. Where can you be offline?
7:00 PM
End of Work (88 minutes)
How job obsolescence and technological unemployment could consequently occur and how digital immortality may not be a thing of science fiction? The Future of Work and Death is a documentary concerning the growth of exponential technology and where it is taking us.

Prisoners of the White God (52 minutes)
Prisoners of a White God is a Czech documentary film about the Akha people. The End of Memory (52 minutes)
Every day, some 2.5 trillion bytes of data are exchanged. How can we classify, store, and give meaning to this mass of digital information? Are our digital societies still capable of producing a lasting memory? This film sets out to answer these questions through a rigorous, fascinating scientific investigation.
Whispers of String Theory (24 minutes)
String theory is currently one of the most ambitious and elegant theoretical frameworks in theoretical physics which explains the inner workings of the universe. However, many people still consider it an arcane concept beyond human understanding. This film by Ekaterina Eremenko puts a human face on this complex and for laymen often obscure research, and brings us to a prestigious conference attended by virtually all major scientists involved with string theory. The filmmaker's elegant style and interviewing techniques unveil the beauty of science and the aesthetic grace of mathematics and physics.
