Lecture: Dr. Göran Hamrin: Hurdles in literacy at KTH
Dr. Göran Hamrin from the KTH Royal Institute of Technology (Sweden) Library will be visiting NTK through the Erasmus+ Staff Mobility Program the week of 20 November 2017.
Dr. Hamrin, Director of Studies at the KTH library, holds a PhD in Mathematical Logic from Uppsala University and specializes in integrated information literacy teaching for engineering students, as well as different aspects of theoretic information retrieval.
At KTH, information literacy concepts are embedded directly into the curriculum of many for-credit engineering courses. Dr. Hamrin is one of the team responsible for these initiatives.
During his week in Prague, Dr. Hamrin will take part in NTK classes for doctoral students and postdoctoral researchers, hold two workshops for library staff, and will provide this lecture open to the Campus Dejvice public. Dr. Hamrin’s visit was organized by NTK in conjunction with CTU Prague’s Scientific Writing in English team.
